- Nicole New is an incredible female vocalist and band leader. Soulful and sensitive, Nicole is known for her creative fusion of genres. Nicole transcends far beyond just singing the standards, she makes them all her own. Nicole’s Interpretation is reminiscent of someone who understands deeply, the meaning of song.
Nestled just north of Traverse City, Shady Lane Cellars is a boutique, estate winery. We produce
several cool climate varietals grown from 70 acres of grapes including the original Riesling and
Pinot Noir, and additional plantings of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Blaufränkisch, Pinot Gris,
Gewurztraminer and other delicious grape varieties.
We are a SIP certified winery (Sustainability in Practice) and earned this certification in 2020.
Most of our wines are also vegan. Taking care of the planet and the community around us is very
important to our craft.
At Shady Lane, we strive to cultivate an expression of time and place in each of our wines. Seeking
to capture the true nature of our cool climate, our wines are expressively vibrant, refreshing and
pair well with a range of foods. Winemaker, Kasey Wierzba creates our wine with a philosophy
focused on expressing the natural flavors and aromas of the fruit balanced with a precision that is
ushered through science and technique. We produce 7,000cases of wine in a single year, making
each bottle special, unique and limited.
The wine tastings are complementary to members. Shady Lanes will take orders for wine sales on-site, and members can pick up their orders within a week (assuming the wines are in stock) and no later than a month’s time.
