We’re headed to the theatre. Join us for a gripping reimagining of the night before the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at Detroit Public Theatre. Set on April 3, 1968—just hours after delivering one of his most powerful speeches—an exhausted Dr. King retreats to his room at the Lorraine Motel as a storm rages outside. When a mysterious stranger arrives and reveals a secret, Dr. King is compelled to confront his destiny and the legacy he will leave behind.
Following the performance, members are invited to a post-show glow featuring food and drinks, immediately after the show.
