BasBlue has partnered with Black Gen Z founded and led the Steen Foundation and She So Detroit for an Arts and Culture day at BasBlue in Midtown Detroit. During the program the Steen Foundation’s annual mural challenge will take place with local women and non-binary artists.
Join in on hustle and two-step lessons from 6-7pm.
Come check out the vendors, artists, artwork throughout the space and sounds by DJ Z-Light.
This year’s mural challenge theme is the Detroit Butterfly. The Detroit Butterfly symbolizes transformation, beauty, and a free spirit as with the people of Detroit. It also affirms diverse beauty standards and celebrates uniqueness, mirroring the city’s vibrant arts scene. View the art pieces as they transform right in front of you from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
The mural challenge winners will be announced during the 7pm hour.
Light bites, mocktails and cocktails will be available for members and for purchase for guests.
