Take your career to the next level in partnership with Wayne State University Executive and Professional Development, sponsored by DTE.

An immersive professional development experience designed to help you grow with intention. This three-part, in-person workshop series meets monthly from February through April, bringing together early-career professionals and emerging leaders in a curated cohort setting. Through expert-led sessions, meaningful connection, and real-world application, participants will build the skills, confidence, and clarity needed to navigate what’s next in their careers—together.


Early Career applicants will be in the first 7 years of their professional career, in an entry level or secondary level position. They are likely not managing a team of individuals, or leading large scale projects without direct supervision. 

Series Dates: Feb 25, Mar 11, Apr 22, 4-7 pm

  • Leading with Self-Awareness and Authenticity: Identify your Personal Leadership Style, define your Personal Values and Vision, explore the meaning of Authentic Leadership.
  • Leading through Communication: Use communication techniques to build engagement, give thoughtful feedback, receive feedback with an open mind.
  • Leading Collaborative Meetings: Design and implement inclusive, productive meetings that foster collaboration and effective decision-making

Emerging Leader candidates will be at least 5 years into their professional career in a mid-level position within their organization. They are likely managing a team, or large scale projects without significant oversight. 

Series Dates: Feb 23, March 9, April 20, 8:30-11:30 am

  • Leading with Self-Awareness and Authenticity: Identify your Personal Leadership Style, define your Personal Values and Vision, explore the meaning of Authentic Leadership.
  • Leading through Communication: Use communication techniques to build engagement, give thoughtful feedback, receive feedback with an open mind.
  • Leading with Influence: Advocate for yourself and your team, use influence strategies to gain support for your workplace needs/initiatives, use influence strategies to negotiate effectively.
