It all started at the collab table.
Back in 2023, member Nicole turned a passion project into purpose — launching a social action organization, Black Advocates Action Fund (Black Advocates AF), dedicated to promoting and supporting civic participation for Black people at every level. What began as a grassroots effort has since grown to include leadership pipeline development, including an annual cohort of Young Advocates who travel to Washington, D.C.
One afternoon on the member floor, Nicole sat down at the collab table and struck up a conversation with fellow member Kiara Williams. Kiara had heard about the Executive Coaching cohort Nicole previously hosted — and wanted to know how she could be a part of it.
That conversation turned into action. Today, Kiara is officially a Young Advocate, gearing up for her trip to D.C.
