COVID-19 Response

The safety of our members, guests and teams is paramount, and we have introduced a clear set of standards and heightened hygiene measures that we will adhere to closely. We are also committed to implementing all appropriate health and safety measures in line with local government regulations.

While we are making every effort to create the safest and smoothest experience, the success of our grand opening will depend greatly on the support of our members and their guests. Therefore, we ask for your cooperation as we navigate this period together.

VACCINATION POLICY: To protect our BasBlue community, and in consideration of guidance released by the City of Detroit Health Department, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), BasBlue is implementing a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for its members, guests, and workforce. BasBlue is committed to protecting members, guests, staff and our community from COVID-19.

TOUR GROUPS: We respectfully request that everyone participating in tours be fully vaccinated and arrive for the tour willing and able to wear a mask at all times. As the tour will be indoors and at times prove challenging to maintain proper social distancing, we would like to exercise an abundance of caution to safeguard everyone's well-being. We recognize that many of you have children who are not yet able to receive the vaccine and we are equally committed to safeguarding their well-being as well. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL: If you or your guest are unwell, please do not visit the House until you are feeling better. We ask that you stay home if you:

  • Have been in contact to someone with COVID-19 during the prior 14 days.
  • Fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
  • Undergoing evaluation for COVID-19 infection.
  • Are experiencing any symptom of COVID-19 such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headaches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.

OUR TEAMS: All our teams will be receiving COVID-19 safety briefings, taken through all new processes in detail, and given daily health checks and provided with PPE.

HOUSE GUESTS: For the purposes of contact tracing, it is important that we know who is spending time at BasBlue. To keep track, we ask that members provide the name and contact details of all guests in advance of any visits. Then, if we need to get in touch with you, we can.

SAFE SPACES: Our reception will conduct pre-entry screenings for temperature and vaccination status. We will be operating at reduced capacity to encourage social distancing, wherever possible, spaces will be configured to facilitate social distancing. We encourage the use of masks when appropriate.

HYGIENE MEASURES: Enhanced cleaning and sanitation will be implemented throughout our spaces, focusing on high-contact surfaces and deep cleaning. Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout our spaces for members, guests, and teams – we ask that you use it regularly.
