Since opening our doors in October 2021, our space, member community, and programs directly support the women of Detroit, which includes the next generation of aspiring business owners, industry leaders, creatives and authors, executives, and volunteers.
The BasBlue foundation
BasBlue is dedicated to amplifying opportunities for the women of Detroit.
The BasBlue Foundation aims to bolster and strengthen the Detroit and Southeast Michigan community by providing access, opportunities, and financial support to historically underrepresented and under-resourced individuals.
From the next generation of aspiring business owners to industry leaders, to creatives and authors, to executives and volunteers - The BasBlue Foundation helps individuals build social capital, self-confidence, self-sufficiency, and skills that will equip them for whatever the future may hold.
Our impact strategy is formed by three pillars: Access, Incubate and Grow
ACCESS
Opportunity starts with Access. We provide access and opportunity to our community through:
- Member to member connection
- In-house weekly programs + events
- Rotating art program
- Trailblazer-in-Residence Scholarship
- Public events + Community Days
- Volunteer days
INCUBATE
Once individuals have access they need the tools to incubate their career and build the life they want. Our incubate pillar directly supports aspiring business owners through:
- Zero to One Fellowship
- Founders + Fund(Her)s Pitch Day
- Member Off-sites
GROW
As we gain access, and incubate careers, growth is ongoing - and through this pillar, we support the continuous growth and progress of the community with:
- Educational seminars
- Mentor Matching
- Leadership Development Series
- Mental Health awareness programs
