Emotional Labor: A Book Club with Rose Hackman

Emotional labor—the wide range of unseen and undervalued work that caregivers, homemakers, and women in the workforce in all capacities perform.

We are intimately familiar with it. Join us for BasBlue's quarterly book club with Rose Hackman's new book Emotional Labor: The Invisible Work Shaping our Lives and How to Claim our Power.

Rose will present her work followed by an intimate Q&A.

Impacting people across all races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds, Rose powerfully highlights how emotional labor is the unifying issue of our time, and asks important questions about what our society truly values and how that value is measured. Equal parts revelatory and empowering, Emotional Labor traces the origins of this kind of work and highlights potential alternatives for a more just world, empowering us all to combat patriarchy and forge pathways for radical evolution, justice, and change.

BasBlue will provide copies for the 15 registered attendees. RSVP as soon as possible to secure a spot!
