Let’s Talk Menopause

October 16 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Free

You’re invited to a conversation about menopause with Dr. Carrie Leff. A subject that has long been clouded and dismissed will be directly addressed by Dr. Leff. We will explore the physical, emotional, and social changes during this stage of life, creating space to learn, connect and normalize the experience.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Carrie Leff is a board-certified Pediatrician and Internist with Henry Ford Health in Bloomfield Township, where she serves as the physician lead of a large primary care clinic. She specializes in primary care for midlife women and is a Certified Menopause Provider through the Menopause Society. Over the past five years, Dr. Leff has integrated menopause care into her practice, helping women navigate the physical and emotional changes of this transition with evidence-based guidance and compassionate support. She is committed to demystifying menopause and empowering women to prioritize their health during this stage of life.

In addition to her menopause work, Dr. Leff has clinical expertise in adolescent medicine, puberty, mental health, eating disorders, and sexual health. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and completed her medical training at Midwestern University in Chicago, followed by residency at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.

In 2015, Dr. Leff co-founded Turning Teen (www.turningteen.com), a company offering educational workshops on puberty and sexual health for parents, children, and schools. Through this work, she has become a nationally recognized speaker and educator, fostering open, shame-free conversations about development and body literacy. She is the author of Celebrate Your Body 2: The Ultimate Puberty Book for Preteen and Teen Girls.

Dr Leff is passionate about providing evidence based health information and shares her expertise regularly on Instagram and occasionally on TikTok at @drcarrieleff.
